Abacus Technology Wins
Kirtland AFB C4 Contract
Abacus Technology Corporation, Chevy Chase, Md., was selected for
a $70 Million contract to operate the Kirtland Air Force Base, NM,
377th Air Base Wing's Communications Division.
Under the contract, Abacus Technology and its partners, Northrop
Grumman IT, Chugach Telecommunication and Computers, Incorp, and
Verizon Federal, will continue operating the voice and data communications
division for the entire base, as well as the Base Multimedia Center
and Base Information Transfer Center.
The new contract, which begins Oct. 1, 2004, includes an incentive
provision that could earn ABACUS a 10-year contract for excellent
performance.
