Overview: Abacus Technology is in need of a Security Engineer to provide support for security system integration and design. This is a full-time position.
Major Duties & Responsibilities: Design and implement integrated security systems. Develop technical requirements, specification documents, drawings, DoDAF viewpoints, and technical presentations.
Qualifications: 10+ years experience in designing and fielding security and communications systems. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Able to interface with customer to gather technical requirements. Familiar with creating technical and/or schematic drawings. Experience with physical and system security including network scans, vulnerability assessments, and CCTV. Intimate working knowledge of DoDAF Ver 2.0. May require up to 25% travel.

Sr. System Engineer
Overview: Abacus Technology is in need of a Sr. System Engineer to develop and manage the implementation of an enterprise architecture for a sophisticated DHS integration application. This is a full-time position.
Major Duties & Responsibilities: Develop enterprise architecture and provide engineering forintegrated security systems. Develop technical requirements, specification documents, technical documentation, and technical presentations utilizing structured architecture framework methodologies. Work with multiple heterogeneous organizations to define and create an integrated operational environment.
Qualifications: 15+ years experience in designing and fielding security and communications systems. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience with C4I systems, enterprise architecture, and SOA. Able to interface with customer to gather technical requirements. Familiar with creating technical documentation. Experience with physical and system security including network scans, vulnerability assessments, and CCTV. Knowledge of DoDAF Ver 2.0 required. Must have exceptional written and spoken communications skills. May require up to 25% travel.
