Abacus Technology offices are electronically linked via video teleconferencing systems and the Internet to facilitate client and staff communications. They are also well-equipped with leading edge technologies, and fully supported by various other state-of-the-art facilities.

• Software Development Testbed - to simulate client network environments, and troubleshoot applications and system installation problems prior to deployment. All software development work is centrally managed from this facility to ensure that CMM® Level 2 and 3 standards are strictly followed.

• Information Assurance Laboratory - to evaluate new computer/network security products for identifying system threats and vulnerabilities, and researching countermeasures. From our Lab, we can design and test client VPNs and firewall configurations; simulate multiple cross-country networks with point-to-point T1s; monitor intrusion detection; and perform controlled penetration testing, port scanning, and forensics.

• Technical Training Facility - complete with networked PCs - to facilitate individual or group instruction and certification on office automation tools and product suites.
  
  
• Microsoft Office Laboratory - to support testing and evaluation of collaboration software and systems for integration across user domains. Hardware and software platforms being evaluated include SharePoint Server 2001, Exchange Conferencing Server, Microsoft Instant Messaging, MS Project Server, Placeware, XP Tablet PC and MS Voice Recognition Software, SQL Server Integration, and Groove/MS Office Integration.
