Functional Responsibilities: Provides technical guidance and advisory assistance in acquisition logistics management to include performing life cycle supportability analyses; developing/reviewing Integrated Logistics Support Plans, Computer Resources Life Cycle Management Plans, and solicitation documentation; and establishing maintenance/support concepts. Assists with the procurement and management processes of support equipment, test equipment, technical orders, spares, training, supply support, and computer resources. Specializes in planning and managing complex acquisition logistics support activities, developing and reviewing acquisition documentation (e.g., solicitation packages, RFPs, ILSPs, CRLCMPs), and performing Instructional System Design (ISD).

Minimum Education: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum/General Experience: 7 years of software development experience, 3 years of project management experience, and 2 years of acquisition life cycle support experience.

Functional Responsibilities: Leads consulting assignments to set up an organizational infrastructure capable of initiating and generating software process improvements. Provides expert technical advice and guidance in establishing Software Engineering Process Groups (SEPGs) and facilitates SEPG workshops to document existing software processes and determine those Key Process Areas (KPAs) in need of improvement. Provides expert technical advice and guidance in establishing Process Action Teams (PATs) and facilitating PAT meetings to identify and prioritize action items, develop action plans and measures for success, and monitor progress toward the resolution of all process weaknesses in accordance with the Capability Maturity Model (CMM). Assists external evaluation teams in conducting an independent assessment of SPI efforts and in measuring progress since an initial Software Capability Evaluation (SCE).

Also leads consulting assignments to perform SCEs and assess an organization's software development process against the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) framework. As Lead Evaluator, searches for evidence that documented processes actually exist and for proof that the process documentation is actually understood and used throughout the organization. Reviews documentation, interviews system managers and software practitioners, and defines the process baseline. Analyzes strengths and weaknesses of the software development process, generates findings based on the maturity levels of the organization's processes, and prepares recommendations delineating those areas where software process improvements will be most beneficial.

Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Education, Communications, or related field.

 

 

Title: Technical Writer

Minimum/General Experience: 5 years of professional writing experience in a technical and/or business environment.

Functional Responsibilities: Prepares various types of publications (e.g., assessment reports, analytical handbooks, system specifications, user/training manuals, brochures/pamphlets) by integrating original writing with inputs from technical as well as non-technical professionals. Analyzes industry standards and interprets client requirements for documentation, and establishes formatted style guides. Researches and translates complex technical information, and rewrites it for clarity and readability.

Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Education, Communications, or related field.

 

 

Title: Graphics Specialist

Minimum/General Experience: 0-2 years of experience in computer graphics.

Functional Responsibilities: Designs and develops graphic illustrations from sketches and other types of artwork using COTS computer tools. Creates graphic displays in both black and white and color, as well as in Internet compatible formats. Provides scanning, sizing, and enhancement support. Assists in integrating graphics with text in desktop publishing media.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
