| Abacus Technology has been performing server consolidation planning to the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center Technical Communications Branch for approximately 26,000 users. We conducted an exhaustive inventory and determined that approximately 200 file, print, and web servers as well as 300 functional and application servers would be involved in the consolidation effort. The majority of these servers are running the Microsoft NT 4.0 operating system with approximately 3% of the servers running on a UNIX platform. The consolidation effort consists of approximately 120 separate domains. Abacus Technology authored and submitted several roadmap deliverables including the Requirements Specification, Server Architecture, and Server Consolidation Implementation Plan which describe the cost and approach for fulfilling the requirements of server consolidation. We are currently negotiating a Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the operation and maintenance of these servers. | ||||||
